timeline
A timeline of my project, starting in June of 2019.
summer goals
Over the summer, I will spend most of my time researching the issue regarding the lack of women in STEM fields out of college. On top of reading articles and research papers, I will have to spend a lot of time finding the difference between biased information and trustworthy information. On top of this research, I will also spend a lot of time learning how to create effective surveys that are also non-biased, and use what I learn to create my survey drafts for elementary, middle, and upper school kids that I will send during the school year. I will also reach out to various women in STEM fields for information, and Mr. Lagarde to see if I can send the surveys to other MIAA schools.
First semester goals
My first semester will consist primarily of organizing my research from the summer as well as drafting and distributing my surveys. I need to make sure that my results are as non-biased as possible, so I will also have to take the time to make sure I have a truly random sample of ten male and ten female students from each grade. I will also make a separate survey for ten male and ten female faculty members.
Second Semester Goals
In the second semester, I will begin drafting my report and turning my data into visual aids. I will finish my final report in May, and have a product ready to present!
